Frequently asked questions

Do therapists have to bring their own cups?

Nope! A smorgasbord of all different kinds of silicone cups will be provided for therapist to try out and use during class!

Will there be cups available for purchase during class?

Definitely! There will be many different cupping sets, t-shirts and cupping posters available for purchase during and after class! We recommend practicing with all the cups first, that way you can see which cups really work well for your practice and style before you buy.

Does the facility have designated parking?

Yes! There is a designated parking lot conveniently located for therapists to park in.

Is there a discount if I register for both classes?

Yes!! Therapists that want to register for both classes should click on and register under the ‘What the Cup Weekend - Seattle’ tab. Registering under this tab will automatically apply the discounted fee for both courses.

Do therapists need to bring their own tables?

Yes please! The facility does not supply massage tables so for those therapists that are local and are able to bring your own tables, please do so!

What should I wear?

Complete disrobing is not required for lab, however we will need adequate access to arms, legs, backs, etc. so please wear loose fitting clothes, sports bra, short-shorts, biker shorts, basketball shorts, tank tops, etc. that allow your fellow classmates adequate exposure to these parts.

What do I need to bring to class?

Please bring one set of massage table sheets, a towel to manage excess lubrication when handling cups, and your preference of lotions, creams, or oils for use in lab.

How many credit hours is the course worth?

This course is worth 8 CEUS.

Is What the Cup approved in my state?

What the Cup courses satisfy the criteria and are approved by the NCBTMB. Most courses approved by the NCBTMB are approved by local state boards however it is highly recommended that you check with your state board to ensure approval before registering for this course.

Is What the Cup 1 a prerequisite for the other What the Cup courses?

Yes! Even if you’ve taken other cupping courses What the Cup 1 is still required before therapists can take any of the other courses in the What the Cup family. What the Cup is taught from an orthopedic perspective and WTC 1 serves as a foundational course of which the other courses are built upon.
