Grass Valley Museum & Cultural Center

The Grass Valley Museum features a collection of documents and artifacts housed in a one-of-a-kind historic building. The museum’s collection features multiple areas of focus which make it unique among Nevada County museums. St. Joseph's Hall is a popular venue for music, dance, and drama. We also serve the artistic community by renting artist studios, rehearsal space, operating as photo shoot locations, and featuring local artists in the museum gallery. The Russell Rose Garden is home to over 100 antique and modern roses. It is divided by hedgerows and lawns. The planting beds contain a large collection of spring bulbs, perennials and specimen flowering shrubs. There are memorial statues and benches shaded by a beautiful collection of mature flowering trees. The picturesque garden is enclosed with wrought-iron fencing and a charming, aged brick wall.
