Did you know most people only breathe to 20-30% of their lung capacity? And yet 70% of our body’s detoxification depends on our breathing?

About this Event

While we were all born to know how to breathe, shallow breathing and all kinds of dysfunctional breathing patterns often develop from distressful moments in life, contributing to chronic states of fatigue, anxiety, numbness, lack…..This often reflects in sub-level vitality and difficulties in life.

We can change these non-resourceful states by changing our breathing and expanding our “container” to process life experiences, increase our resilience and connection to our innate joy, peace and wisdom.

This is an introduction to BREATHWORK for self resourcing and the potential for transformative healing. There will be about 30-40% of time in explanation of what it is, how it works, important note on self healing and Q & A.

You will be led through a guided breathing process supported by music and guidance, like in a guided meditation. You will be experience and practise conscious breathing, mindfulness, visualisation, and you can start self practice to RESET your body’s impulses. With conscious practice you can improve your overall performance and presence.

This session is now a pre-requisite to our popular 90-min Guided Healing Breathwork Journey where participants have reported life-changing experiences.

Before we deep dive into trauma healing with powerful healing breathwork practices, this session helps you to start RESOURCING yourself and to create a SAFE container. BREATH is your most fundamental RESOURCE. It directly impacts not just your physiological state but all aspects of your life experiences. Breathwork facilitated in therapeutic settings can accelerate healing dramatically, bypassing the barrier of the cognitive mind.

After this session you can also opt to participate in our other Healing Breathwork Journey sessions (express version 45 mins and original version 90 mins) to discover yourself and evolve on deeper levels.

About the facilitator:

Anita Cheung is an experienced health practitioner and transformation specialist since 2005, founder of iLiving (formerly i-Detox) Wellness centre in Hong Kong. Her training spans across multiple modalities including Nutrition, Bio-resonance, Breathwork and Trauma Release, Shamanic Breathwork, Aromatherapy, EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique), NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming), coaching, AFT (Aroma Freedom Technique), Family/ Systemic Constellation… She created the unique 6-dimensional approach to total healing practised in iLiving (You may read more about her here: https://ilivinghk.com/founder)

Anita’s fascination with the power of the breath started before she became a health and personal development professional. Around 2000, she first experienced how changing her breathing pattern healed her chronic adult onset asthma. Subsequently she has also learnt just as one diet does not fit all people and all situation, so does breathing method. She has studied (and is continuing studying) different breathing methods and their effect on people with different body type and trauma holding pattern, and how breathwork synergises with other techniques for creating best results for healing and consciousness evolution. In terms of breathwork facilitation, her work has been mainly informed by Biodynamic Breathwork for Trauma Release, Shamanic Breathwork and Therapeutic Breathwork where she has been trained in. She incorporates what she has observed to work best for herself and most people and her understanding in healing facilitation.

After you have registered please will confirm your registration. Closer to the session you will receive a link to join the session.

B. Preparing yourself and your space:

Please join only if you can dedicate the time to yourself in a completely safe space undisturbed. (Do not do it with someone next to you who is not participating. So not join with your TV on. Do you tune in if you are driving. Do not do it if you cannot start at the beginning or if you have to rush off.)

You need an area where you can lie down comfortably by yourself. A bed is fine if you do not have a bigger area. If you are living down on the floor, have a yoga mat (or two) laid out, and something that can keep your whole body warm while you are relaxing (think corpse pose at the end of yoga).

Do not put anything that is easy to break near you. e.g. Put your glass of water on a surface that is safe and away from you.

If you wish you can diffuse essential oils, surround yourself with your favourite crystals….anyway to create a sacred and safe space.
