Connect your online event to Zoom

Link your event to Zoom with Eventbrite’s Zoom app. When you connect your event to Zoom, Eventbrite sends attendees a secure link to your Zoom meeting or webinar with each registration. To get started, go to “Online event page” and click “Connect Zoom”.

1. Check this before you start.

☑️ You already have a Zoom account. ☑️ Your event is not a eblink{repeating event=>https://www.eventbrite.hk/support/articleredirect?anum=3467}. ☑️ The Zoom integration is only available in English. ☑️ If you do not have a Zoom meeting or webinar created, Eventbrite’s integration will create one for you. ☑️ Once added to an event, the Zoom integration can't be removed. You can still change it to another meeting or webinar.

2. Create an online event.

To create an online event: 1. Go to "eblink{Manage events=>https://www.eventbrite.hk/myevents target=_blank}" in your account. 2. Select “Create event”. 3. Fill in the details for your event; set the location to “Online”. 4. Click “Save & continue”.

3. Go to “Online event page”.

4. Select “Connect Zoom” (under “Live video content”).

5. Select “Add new account”, and then log in with Zoom.

If this is your first time using Zoom, authorise the Zoom app as well.

6. Select a Zoom user. Then click “Next”.

7. Connect to an existing Zoom meeting or webinar or create a new one.

To link your event to your Zoom: 1. Choose between a meeting or webinar. 2. To link an existing meeting or webinar, un-check “Create a new Zoom”. Otherwise, leave it checked. 3. Select “Finish” to complete the connection. 4. Close the Zoom window. With the connection set: • Eventbrite syncs your event details to your Zoom meeting/webinar. • Changes to your event update automatically on Zoom. • Attendees who register on Eventbrite automatically register on Zoom (if Zoom registrations are enabled).

8. Manage your Zoom connection.

Update your Zoom connection any time at your online event page. • Select the gear icon to change the visibility settings. • Click “Edit connection” and “Configure” to edit your connection settings. • Click “Edit on Zoom” to update your settings on Zoom.

9. Start your meeting/webinar.

When you are ready to start your event, go back to “Online event page”. Then, click “Start meeting”.

10. Understand your attendees’ experience.

When your attendees register on Eventbrite: 1. They get an email that includes a link to your online event page. 2. On this page, there is a countdown to when your event starts. 3. To join the event, attendees click a secure link to your Zoom meeting/webinar. 4. When they join, attendees are checked in on Eventbrite (if Zoom registrations are enabled). The Zoom link is active 5 minutes before your event starts. If you have not started the meeting/webinar yet, your attendees go to a waiting room.

NOTE: If an attendee’s Zoom account does not have the same email address as their Eventbrite account, they won’t check in. Instead, eblink{manually check in these attendees=>https://www.eventbrite.hk/support/articleredirect?anum=3492}.

11. Optional: Remove the Zoom app.

To remove the Zoom app: • Go to “eblink{Installed apps=>https://marketplace.zoom.us/user/installed}” (in your Zoom account). • Locate the Eventbrite app. • Click “Uninstall”.
