The Global Shapers Community is a network of young people driving dialogue, action and change. We believe in a world where young people are central to solution building, policy-making and lasting change.

Born out of the World Economic Forum, the Global Shapers Community is a network of inspiring young people under the age of 30 working together to address local, regional, and global challenges. With more than 7000 members, the Global Shapers Community spans 378 city-based hubs in 155 countries.

In each city, teams of Shapers self-organize to create projects that address the needs of their community. Projects are wide-ranging including responding to disasters, combating poverty, and fighting climate change. Shapers are diverse in expertise, education, income, and race, but are united by their desire to catalyze change.

The Hong Kong Hub is a microcosm of the greater community, in that it is comprised of young leaders from more than 12 different nationalities and it is focused on developing inter-Hub projects within the region. Our Hub diversity is reflected by projects that revolve around various local communities such as the foreign domestic helpers and asylum seekers. Our vision of collaboration was amplified as we hosted SHAPE Asia 2016 and continue to work on projects with partner Hubs. With the development of the alumni network, we look forward to the opportunities for our Hub to strengthen and contribute more to the Global Shapers Community.
