VoiceLab A Cappella
VoiceLab is an a cappella group comprised of graduate students and young professionals in the Boston area. Although our backgrounds differ, we come together with the same purpose: to maintain the highest standards of musicality while embracing a spirit of fun and friendship, and to bring great music to our audiences.
You can find VoiceLab rehearsing every Tuesday night, when we gather to renew our love of singing and feed our fantastic friendships. We are an all-gender group typically comprised of 16-18 members of all voice parts, as well as vocal percussion. We perform a wide variety of music, all arranged by current or past group members.
Founded in 2005, VoiceLab has its roots as a Harvard graduate student a cappella group. We have since broadened our horizons to all graduate students and young professionals in the Boston area. In pre-pandemic times, we performed regularly throughout the year on Harvard’s campus and elsewhere. From busking at Faneuil Hall, to caroling in the streets of Somerville, to fundraisers in Kendall and corporate dinners in the Seaport, we aim to please at every venue. Recordings of all our major performances can be found on YouTube!
VoiceLab released their first album, Lab Notes, in 2010, followed by their EP, MARGINALLY SIGNIFICANT, in 2017. VoiceLab has also released the singles Elastic Heart in 2018, Make You Feel My Love in 2020, and Creep in 2025. Check out all of VoiceLab’s recordings on iTunes, Spotify, Amazon, and Pandora!
