The Henderson Heritage Group (HHG)

The Henderson Heritage Group (HHG) is an unincorporated, non-profit organisation consisting of people who lived at or worked at one of the Henderson Communities. We operate a flattened hierarchy in ways that echo the structures and processes of the three Communities and people who once lived in one of the three Communities have the majority vote in all decisions of the HHG. We have come together to preserve the archive and memory of the Henderson Heritage Communities, and to think about ways in which aspects of the collective work of the three Communities can continue to shape future directions in health and social care and in the survivor movement. The Henderson Communities saved many lives and we wish to enable future generations to learn from one of the most effective and famous therapeutic communities in history.
