Hong Kong International Literary Festival Ltd

Hong Kong International Literary Festival Limited
We are a registered charity that had its beginnings in 2001 when the first Hong Kong International Literary Festival (HKILF) was launched. This is now an annual event held over 10 days in the Fall, featuring established and emerging writers from around the world in an extensive programme that includes discussions, literary lunches and dinners, workshops, lectures, debates, book signings and readings. The stellar list of past HKILF authors includes literary illuminati such as Seamus Heaney, Louis de Bernières, Junot Díaz, Colm Tóibín, Jung Chang and Yann Martel.
The Hong Kong International Young Readers Festival (YRF) is a sister festival managed by the company. In 2012, YRF was launched as the first and only English literary festival in Hong Kong specially for children 4 to 14 years of age. YRF is held annually in March and offers young readers the opportunity to explore the world of books, interact with international and local children's authors such as Eoin Colfer, Morris Gleitzman, Luka Lesson, Marie Lu, and Sally Gardner. One of YRF's aims is to promote a love of reading and writing in children all over Hong Kong.
