Hong Kong Cleanup

Founded in 2000 by HKSAR Medal of Honor recipient, Lisa Christensen, Hong Kong Cleanup was the first of its' kind, and has engaged over 1,000,000 participants and cleaned up over 11 million kg's of trash!

Dedicated to organizing and managing corporate and community cleanups, Hong Kong Cleanup is the only organization to collect data on every cleanup, and produce annual reports, with its global charity partner, Ocean Conservancy.

Hong Kong Cleanup is the official country leader for Ocean Conservancy’s International Coastal Cleanup, and Let's Do It Foundations World Cleanup Day.

Hong Kong Cleanup specializes in organizing and managing hundreds of professionally led bespoke corporate cleanup and large scale free community events throughout the year.

Hong Kong Cleanup is a year long education platform that works with communities, schools, government and businesses to provide practical solutions to help us all live more sustainability every day of the year.

The mission is threefold:

1. AWARENESS: To empower Hong Kong citizens to become active agents in keeping our beautiful coastal areas, country parks and city streets safe, clean and trash free

2. EMPOWERMENT: To increase awareness and instil a level of understanding that communities are pivotal to changing attitudes towards environmental protection

3. ACTION: o inspire and empower change in policy related to waste management, littering and pollution, and for environmental sustainability to become a greater priority for Hong Kong policymakers.
