On the heels of their 2022 Billboard-charting and award winning album, Midwinter’s Gift, oboist Kirstin Myers and pianist Frances Drost continue to delight audiences with their heartfelt interpretations of both classical and contemporary music. Their unique and contemplative sound takes the listener on a journey that resonates long after their performances.
Kirstin Myers is distinguished as the 2023 LLMEA Private Teacher of the Year and a seasoned oboist and English Horn player with the York Symphony Orchestra, Berks Sinfonietta, Reading Pops Orchestra and other music groups. Holding degrees in Music Education and Oboe Performance, she has contributed her talents as oboe professor at Lebanon Valley College and York College of Pennsylvania, as well as having served on the faculty at the Tell School of Music at Millersville University for 24 years.
Frances Drost is an award-winning singer, songwriter, pianist and published bestselling author who received the 2009 Female Artist of The Year at the 2009 Momentum Awards Ceremony in Nashville, TN. Frances is also the founder of the annual Portraits of White Winter Concert—a professional production with a personal touch that offers hope to audiences during the holidays.
In November 2022, Frances and Kirstin’s first collaborative album, Midwinter’s Gift charted at No. 13 on Billboard’s Classical Crossover Album Charts and in January 2023 was nominated for Instrumental Album of the Year, receiving a 2022 Spot Award for Best Classical/Crossover from Central Pennsylvania Music Hall of Fame.
New Album: Double Keyed & The London Symphony Orchestra!
As if life isn’t busy enough for these two ladies, they have decided to dream bigger than ever by collaborating with their arranger and producer, Phillip Keveren, on a second Christmas album.
The project is already off to a great start with breathtaking arrangements of holiday classics being created by Keveren, but this time, the duo is planning to include a few other musicians, primarily… about 70 of them with The London Symphony Orchestra. Big breath.
