Dayle McIntosh Center
Empowering individuals with disabilities and older adults to live independently and thrive.
Founded in 1977, the Dayle McIntosh Center is Orange County’s only Independent Living Center, dedicated to promoting access, equity, and inclusion for people with disabilities and older adults. As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, DMC offers a wide range of services, including advocacy, peer counseling, assistive technology, housing support, and community transitions. Rooted in the disability justice movement, DMC collaborates with individuals to achieve personal goals toward maximum independence.
Operating under the federal Rehabilitation Act of 1973, DMC is a non-residential, cross-disability agency that meets the standards for independent living centers. The organization’s vision is that people with disabilities and older adults have equal opportunities to lead their lives as they choose.
Based in Anaheim, California, DMC serves the Orange County community and partners with individuals to address current concerns and achieve personal goals toward maximum independence.
