Clelia McElroy
Hi! I'm Clelia
I am passionate about Film Culture and Education, inspiring creativity in people, and using challenging films to exchange ideas and start a dialogue: The end of a film is only the start of the conversation.
I studied Film in Cambridge, and went on to earn a Master's degree in Contemporary Film Culture at UWE in Bristol.
Since 2010, I have been involved and produced a range of diverse community film events, from enhanced screenings, hands on workshops for all ages, talks and conferences in various location around the UK.
My research interests focus around audience participation in community cinema, the impact of community led screen initiatives on the creative image of a city, and community cinemas as social enterprises, which I write about regularly.
