Andrea Prazmowski, Forest Therapy Ottawa
One of Andrea’s earliest memories is of making friends with the pussywillow tree in her backyard, and she’s always felt most at home in the shelter of trees. She is a Certified Nature & Forest Therapy Guide who's been guiding Forest Therapy experiences since 2017, and brings a welcoming and playful energy to her guiding. Andrea trained with the Association of Nature and Forest Therapy (ANFT) and has served as a trainer and mentor with ANFT. She leads workshops on Ecological Grief/The Work That Reconnects and has facilitated scores of learning programs and community environmental initiatives, and co-creates "Wild Spirit" gatherings in Ottawa. She has certification in Permaculture Design and Reiki, and is a facilitator of the Kairos Blanket Exercise (an interactive learning experience to advance the process of reconciliation).
Forest Therapy Ottawa gratefully offers this work within the traditional and unceded territory of the Algonquin Anishinaabe Nation. We seek to honour the lands and waters and all beings, and to journey towards reconciliation with the peoples who have cultivated right relationship with these lands through countless generations
