AWCM
The AWCM recognizes and addresses the distinct and compounded intertwined challenges experienced by racialized newcomer and migrant women. The AWCM acknowledges the challenges of newly arrived women face when establishing in a new country such as language barriers, employment opportunities, professional development, childcare accessibility, and intense feelings of isolation. Understanding the vulnerability of seniors, the AWCM offers intergenerational activities to promote mentorship development.
The AWC is a community of immigrant women who strive to make positive changes in their lives by coming together and sharing their challenges, dreams, and goals.
