Tailwinds Academy of Aviation

Tailwinds Flight Education, LLC was established at Northeast Philadelphia Airport in 2018. In 2024 it evolved into The Tailwinds Academy of Aviation – a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, operating under 14 CFR Part 61. While we continue to offer traditional tuition-based flight training, our mission has expanded to include providing full-flight training scholarships to aviation students from Frankford High School’s Aviation Academy. Whether you’re a scholarship recipient or a private student, we stand by our commitment to transparency and excellence in aviation education.
