Delayed or missing payouts

After you complete your event, payouts normally arrive within 5-7 business days. If you haven’t received your payout, there are a few reasons it might be delayed. Go to Finance to confirm your payout status. Then, check your email to see if there are any issues preventing your payout.

Check your payout status

Your payout status is available in your Eventbrite account:

  1. Go to Finance.

  2. Select the Payouts tab, then locate the payout.

You'll find one of the following statuses:

Set up a payout method

If your payout hasn’t been sent and isn’t processing, make sure you've added a bank account:

  1. Go to Manage my events and select your event.

  2. Select Payments & tax, then select "Payout method.”

  3. Select your payout method or add new bank details.

As soon as payout details are added, Eventbrite will send eligible payouts on the following business day. If it's been more than 60 days since your event ended, contact us

TIP: Make your payout method the default for all events in your Finance workspace.

Add taxpayer information

If you use Eventbrite Payment Processing in the U.S., you'll need to add taxpayer information before you can receive your payouts. If you're a non-U.S. citizen hosting events in the U.S., submit a Form W-8 instead.

Once taxpayer information is added, Eventbrite sends eligible payouts on the next business day. If it's been more than 60 days since your event ended, contact us.

NOTE: Only the owner or an admin of the account can enter taxpayer information.

Review your payout schedule

Eventbrite sends your payout three days after your event completes. Once sent, your bank deposits the money in your account within 3-5 business days for U.S. payouts and 5-7 business days for payouts outside of the U.S.

Once sent, contact your bank if you have any questions about when it will get to your account.

Confirm your payout schedule if you’re expecting payouts before your event ends.

If your event is cancelled or postponed

Eventbrite automatically holds your payout when you postpone or cancel your event. This gives you the ability to easily refund ticket buyers.

  • Cancelled Events Policy

    • Eventbrite requires refunds when an event is cancelled.

  • Postponed Events Policy

    • You have 90 days to set and communicate a new event date once you’ve postponed your event. If you don’t have a new date after 90 days, you’re required to issue a refund upon attendee request for the next 45 days and until a new date has been communicated.

    • Your payout won’t process until the event takes place. If you rescheduled and completed your event but haven’t received your payout within the standard timeline, please submit a payout request.

Check your email

In some cases, Eventbrite will send a notification when a payout is delayed. Eventbrite will only reach out to the owner of the account.

Check the inbox associated with that account for an email from Eventbrite.

Contact your bank with the trace ID (U.S. only)

The trace ID will help your bank track the payout and add the money to your account. If you haven't received your payout within five business days of it being sent, locate the trace ID.

  1. Go to Finance and select Payouts.

  2. Select your payout.

  3. Find the trace ID.

Resend your check payout (USD only)

Checks expire after 90 days. If your check is expired, follow these steps to reissue your payout. If you haven’t received your check after 10 business days, contact us to resend it.
