Description

Yoga: Based on the 8 limbs of yoga as transcribed by Patanjali. Living a true and wholehearted life, practising physical postures, pranayama and meditation. Yoga is a practice to help us find peace, contentment & an easeful body.

Ayurveda: the science of life and the sister practice to yoga. The three main principles of ayurveda are that we each have a particular pattern of energy, defined by our physical, mental & emotional characteristics. This determines our constitution, we are born with it, however as we move through life various factors will act upon us to alter this balance and will be reflected in our day to day state. In ayurveda there are three recognised constitional states known as koshas: kapha, pitta. vata and each state has the potential to be in or out of balance. Through the practice of yoga, diet and pranayama we can bring our constitutional state into balance.

In this day of yoga and meditation we will cover the 8 limbs of yoga, eat a sattvic (balanced) diet of vegetarian food, and work to bring our doshic state into balance.

Timetable:
9-11am - Hatha Yoga - a tridoshic yoga class

Vegetarian lunch
3.00 - 5.00pm - Yin/Restorative yoga plus pranayama & guided meditations

$1200 for a full days attendance
