The Hong Kong Cleanup and Ecozine.com are proud to present a series of community events to celebrate the UN's World Environment Day and World Oceans Day (June 5th and 8th respectively)!

Sponsored by Nomura and Dopper, and organized by Ecovision, World Environment Week will bring together international thought leaders, local heroes, NGOs, companies and YOU, to celebrate sustainability and highlight a powerful, positive approach to the environmental issues we face.

Details: Ecozine.com, your go-to guide for smarter living, presents the inaugural Ecozine LIVE! Conference – a high-profile symposium showcasing inspiring ideas from hand-picked local and international speakers, all connected by the theme of sustainable living, and complemented by music, dance and comedy!

Confirmed speakers and performers include Merijn Everaarts, Founder, Dopper; Dr. Andy Cornish, Conservationist; Bobsy, Eco-Entrepreneur, Community Weaver & Inspirational Speaker; Simon Birch, Artist; Rosemary Vandenbroucke, Singer; and Vivek Mahbubani, Comedian, among others!

There will be networking opportunities, refreshments courtesy of Beyond O2, Edible Arrangements, MANA! and Secret Ingredient, and a Green Home pop-up shop on site, thanks to A Boy Named Sue. Details: To highlight the issues faced by Hong Kong and the world and inspire positive action, the Hong Kong Cleanup, and sponsors Nomura, Ecozine.com and Dopper jointly present, for the first time in Asia, TRASHED, a thought-provoking film that takes us from scepticism to sorrow to hope, with an unflinching attitude toward the vast issue of waste and how it affects humans and nature. This breath-taking film features Academy Award winner Jeremy Irons and music by Vangelis, and takes viewers on a worldwide journey of discovery that is by turns amusing and alarming, and certainly awareness-raising.
