About this event

Join us if you’ve been curious about doing work with fast growing and dynamic organizations.

We’ll go through how people got started and built-up your work in a new niche area. This way, if you are interested, you can do the same! You’ll hear tips on social media marketing, networking and how to build credibility in a new area.

We’ll also go through what to expect in terms of common themes, challenges and opportunities when working with start-ups and scale ups.

In the interactive talk, the biggest mistakes and common mistakes in the start-up and scale-up journey, how they would help you learn what works and what doesn’t in the startup and scale up space.

You can look forward to stories from companies building rockets, erotic audio books, wargames and more!

About the Speaker

Alison Lee is a leadership coach and organizational psychologist who is passionate about helping young leaders learn the leadership skills they need to bring success to themselves and their teams. As an entrepreneur and a former young business leader, she understands the anxieties, challenges and desires of young leaders to learn enough to run their companies, push business development, manage clients and investors, and on top of that deliver valuable products and services to the world.

Alison coaches founding teams and leaders to develop self-aware, continuously learning teams that are aligned on how they want to work, and what they want to achieve.

Alison’s experience spans both internal HR leadership and external consulting, with a specialization in the healthcare and tech industries. She has worked alongside senior leaders in MNCs to develop and implement talent acquisition frameworks, talent assessment programs, and leadership development initiatives on a global scale.

The Division of Industrial-Organizational Psychology (DIOP) was established in May 2000 under the Hong Kong Psychological Society (HKPS). We are a professional association that promotes the identity, professional status and recognition of industrial-organizational (I-O) psychologists in Hong Kong.

With our prime focus to further develop members' professional competences in I-O psychology, and to promote the discipline to the public, industry and potential service recipients, DIOP organizes regular events to update all levels of our members, HR practitioners, and the general public the current topics in the field. We collaborate with a wide range of disciplines in our events to discuss the latest emerging trends in the workplace and pick up new insights to thrive in this ever changing world.
