At Nest, we periodically run an entrepreneurship speaker series, where we bring together some of the sectors brightest minds on a specific vertical to ask them #WhatsNext? The panel typically consists of individuals from the government, startups, corporates, development agencies and researchers.

Since launching we have run 14 panel discussions with leading stakeholders in sectors such as FinTech, Music, Retail, AgriTech, E-Commerce and Mobility which have consistently attracted 100+ attendees.

In the month of August, we held a very successful #WhatsNext Travel event, with some of the leading stakeholders in the tourism industry participating on the panel, including the Cabinet Secretary of Tourism Najib Balala.

In October, we turn our eye to the energy sector with an aim of discussing the state of renewable energy in the region. The event will feature a dynamic mix of investors and experts in the fields of geothermal, biogas, solar, wind and biomass energy.

The panellists include:

  1. Cornel Ofwona- General Manager, Geothermal Development Company (GDC).

  2. Cedrick Todwell- Head of Sales and Strategic Partnerships, Sistema.Bio

  3. Paras Patel- Investment Manager, Energy Access Ventures.

  4. Eliza Hogan- Off-Grid Business Specialist, Power Africa (USAID).

  5. Patrik Huber- Regional Director –Africa, responsAbility Social Investments AG.

The panel will be moderated by Brenda Wangari, the Business Operations Manager at Village Industrial Power.

Join us as we provide insights and share ideas about the future of energy.

The #WhatsNext series regularly sells out. Please book early to secure your seat.
