About this event

Why does crypto matter to you?

The market cap of Bitcoin and the top 10 cryptocurrencies exceeded US$1.1trillion and US$2.1trillion, respectively. Is this market too big to ignore? How could an individual profit from it? How do we manage the investment risks? How could a business leverage on the underlying crypto technology?

Join us to learn more about the crypto world from Alex Yang (WCAS '05), Founder of Volmart & CEO of V Systems

Alex has in-depth experience in crypto investments and hedging (yes, it's my first time to hear from crypto hedging!). He has a mission to connect the Crypto Street with Wall Street and the real economy. He is currently CEO of V Systems, a blockchain platform that helps companies develop decentralized applications. He also founded Volmart which offers digital asset structured products and risk management tools for investors. After obtaining his PhD from Northwestern University in 2005, Alex started his career in Jump Trading, an algorithmic and high frequency trading firm in derivatives, cryptocurrency, and equities in Chicago. In 2006, he joined the UBS exotic derivatives team in Hong Kong. He was the head of the structured product trading team of Nomura before he joined V Systems and founded Volmart.
