Weaving Identity

Overview

Join Quarks to explore gender identity and sustainability through creative garment transformation and storytelling.

Join Quarks for a 90-minute creative laboratory exploring the intersection of gender identity and sustainability. Using clothing as a metaphorical "second skin," participants will deconstruct and rebuild objects or garments that carry personal memories or gendered labels. Through collage and patchwork, you will transform these items into expressive art pieces that reflect your authentic, fluid self. This is a low-barrier, high-emotion workshop focused on the transformative power of upcycling. No prior craft experience is required—just bring an object and your story. Together, we will weave a collective tapestry of our diverse experiences.

The workshop fee includes general admission to the Green Women Festival, granting access to talks, booths, and goodie bags. The workshop will be conducted bilingually.
