Why?

The events since summer in Hong Kong have highlighted many aspects that divide our society and cause friction and conflict. For Hong Kong to thrive requires bridging these divides and pooling different voices and points of view to create a shared sense of possibility for the future. All facets of the community should be encouraged to bring forth ideas to take forward together. Are you curious? Do you wish to share the role you and others are playing or could play? Do you have proposals?

Who?

Those sharing their experience will include Anna Wu, a former member of the Executive Council of Hong Kong; Christine Loh, a former Hong Kong legislator and under secretary for the environment; Michael Alar, a facilitator at the Mindanao Peacebuilding Institute who has worked on transforming relationships between state and non-state actors in the Philippines; Noppatjak Attanon, editor of several digital platforms for Thailand’s Workpoint News with millions of followers; and Thomas Fann, Chairman of Bersih 2.0, a civil society movement for electoral reform in Malaysia.

They will be joined by you and several hundred others to talk about and to listen to and co-create ways forward.

Sessions will be in Cantonese, English and Putonghua, with simultaneous translation.
