Harshinee Sriram - Ph.D. Candidate in Artificial Intelligence
Harshinee is a Ph.D. candidate in Computer Science at the University of British Columbia in Canada. She specializes in using AI to help with early diagnosis and tracking of neurodegenerative diseases like Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s. Harshinee has also has built various AI solutions and analytics tools as an Applied AI Scientist Intern at the UBC–AWS Cloud Innovation Centre. She is currently an Applied Scientist Ph.D. Intern at Amazon in Vancouver, Canada.
Miguel Prieto, M.D. - Ph.D. Candidate in Health Sciences & Bioinformatics
Miguel is a Ph.D. candidate in the Faculty of Health Sciences at Simon Fraser University in Canada. He completed a Master of Science in Experimental Medicine at the University of British Columbia and is a Medical Doctor who graduated from the Universidad del Valle in Colombia. Miguel studies the impact of microbes on human health, including the role of the microbiome in infectious diseases. He is interested in applying findings from infectious diseases genomics to public health policies and health care interventions.

Conan is a STEM educator and communicator with over three years of experience leading outreach initiatives across Canada. He has designed numerous workshops and courses in physics and computer science, and organized large-scale, multi-disciplinary events that have connected thousands of secondary students with world-renowned experts, including astronauts. He has also presented at major international conferences, including Science Talk by the Association of Science Communicators.
