🎭 Workshop: “Viewpoints in Improv”
Taught by: Kaisa Kokko-Palmoer (she/her) – Finland
Level: All levels
Date & Time: Saturday, May 23 · 10:00–13:00
Location: Fringe Club, Central, Hong Kong
📝 Workshop Description:
What happens when we approach improv as living, breathing theatre?
In this workshop, we’ll use the Viewpoints method (Anne Bogart and Tina Landau) as a lens for improvisation — exploring how time, space, and physical awareness can expand your creative storytelling. Through movement-based exercises, you’ll play with tempo, spatial relationships, gesture, and rhythm to unlock new dimensions of presence and connection on stage.
We’ll explore how Viewpoints can inform scene work, character development, and ensemble creation, helping you craft striking stage images and deeper emotional resonance. Expect to move, explore, and rediscover the joy of physical storytelling.
🧘 How to Show Up
- Arrive early – please plan to arrive 10 minutes before class so we can start and end on time.
- Wear comfortable, movement-friendly clothes that cover you fully (you’ll be moving around the space).
- Bring a reusable water bottle – hydration is creativity!
