Looking for the perfect vegan desserts to wow your family and friends this Christmas, but stuck for ideas?🎄

Why not come along to our workshop and learn how to rustle up the perfect British Desserts to go along with your Ultimate British Vegan Roast!

First up is the one of the most symbolic British desserts/treats I long for every Christmas, the deliciously more-ish Mince Pie. Originally made with shredded meat, suet and dried fruits back in the 13th Century when the European Crusaders brought Middle Eastern recipes to British shores (although thankfully now only a delicious sweet dish), this 100% vegan and gluten-free recipe will have your guests thinking these delicacies were store bought from some of the best of the best in M&S or Pret! We’ll even show you how to make your own simple, vegan/GF sweet pastry to use with any fruit pie of your choosing.

The second dish you’ll get to bake, try and take home in this workshop, is a mouth-wateringly good Sticky Gingerbread Cake and caramel sauce. Although traces of the spices (ginger, cinnamon and nutmeg) used in gingerbread recipes can be linked back to Ancient Egyptians and Greeks, it wasn’t until Elizabeth I of England surprised her special guests with ‘biscuits’ designed in their likeness in the 16th Century that they became synonymous as a Christmas treat. This version goes back to its roots as a dark and spicy cake-like bread, that’s guaranteed to make you go back for that second slice!
