Valuation of intangible assets is an important topic across specific legal, accounting and taxation applications. Valuers often come across valuation involved technology, patent or license. In every case, the unique attributes of the intangible asset must be considered in determining its value. When it comes to living animals, valuation can get more challenging as the factors such as subspecies, size and life cycle can substantially affect its economic. In the seminar, our speaker will provide an overview of the horse market, horse breeding and horse raising, key factors and techniques in horse valuation.

Dr. Lee, Wai Kin, Alan, has over 15 years’ experience in valuation. Having a keen interest in horse racing, he started to develop horse trading business in 2016 and became a breeder in Australia and New Zealand. Currently, he is a racing member, horse owner and registered bloodstock agent at the Hong Kong Jockey Club.


Dr. Lee is also an expert in property valuation, a member of Hong Kong Institute of Surveyor and a member of China Institute of Real Estate Appraisers and Agents. Since 2010, he is approved for undertaking valuation for incorporation or reference in listing particulars and circulars and valuation in connection with takeovers and mergers.
