Whether it’s the old toys, tools, or other objects you find around your city, this workshop is all about discovering the artistic potential in the world around you through printing unique textures!
What You’ll Do
- Pull unique impressions and prints from 3D objects.
- Experiment with surfaces
- Make it personal: turn your favorite urban objects into wearable or displayable art!
The workshop will be 1.5 hours. No prior printing or arstistic experience required—just be willing to get your hands a dirty!
Medium of instruction will be in English.
We’ll provide materials, but we highly encourage you to bring your own objects to use to print, as well as any a tote bag, a T-shirt, or any fabric item you’d like to customize with your own urban impressions.
About the Artist
Olgierd Nitka, also known as Aktin Drielgo, is a contemporary multidisciplinary desginer currently based in Hong Kong that focuses on the relationship between us humans and our mutating environments. His work often involves "painting in motion," which includes bringing paintings into urban streets for performances or creating site-specific artwork with a strong interest in documenting and interacting with contextual spaces.
