Want to learn how to create your own aquatic robot? Join us this summer for the Underwater Robotics Summer Course!

About this Event

The “Underwater Robotics Summer Course” is a course designed for secondary and high school students to raise interest towards technology. The course covers very crucial skills required in modern day robotic technology with a focus on underwater robots.

The level of the course is beginner and there is no prerequisites hence it is suitable for students from any background who is interested in robotic technologies.

Duration: 5 days (15-20 hours)

Cost: HKD 5,000 per participant

Age: 13 to 18 Years

No. of students per class: 6-8

Location : PMQ, Central

Time : 10am to 2pm

Course Content:

1. Introduction to underwater robotics

2. Introduction to Introduction to 3D modelling

Basics of 3D printing

3. 3D modelling and 3D printing

Use of CAD software

Hands-on experience with 3D printers

4. Tooling and assembly

Basic tooling and assembly skills

Use design skills learnt to modify fish design

5. Arduino and Electronics

Introductory Arduino programming

Basic knowledge about electrical circuits

6. Building a robotic fish

Assemble a robotic fish using skills learned

Fish racing competition

We hope to lay the foundation for students to design and build their own robots. The course is very comprehensive and involves major branches of engineering enabling students to explore their interests further. At the end of the course there will be a mini competition and the winner will receive an award. Each student will receive a certificate of completion.
