Sai Kung Stray Friends Foundation founded by Ms. Narelle Pamuk is a volunteer run charity that rescues and cares for stray dogs in Hong Kong. Our dog shelter in Sai Kung takes care of over 200 dogs. Our dedicated team of volunteers support our Kennel Manager Ms. Kathy to manage and operate the dog shelter for all 365 days of the year.

Our shelter at Tai Lam Wu village is located on the Wilson Trail (Section 4). Our volunteers take our dogs through the trails around here giving our dogs a good stertch of their legs and our volunteers enjoy the breathtaking trails.

This program is for animal lovers who are interested to join as a member of our dog running team. The program will be lead by our senior volunteer Mark Doel, an experience trail runner who has been regularly taking our dogs for a run in the mountains around our shelter. Each group will consist of 1-3 people. The training will be in English.

During the training, you will get to know the various dogs, understand differences of every dogs to take care when leashing and running. And also get to know the dogs that new volunteers should not disturb. By the end of the day, you will have experienced the daily work routine of a regular volunteer at the shelter. You can then decide if you are able to commit to join our team and volunteer regularly every week.
