Event overview

This seminar will be held across 2 consecutive Saturdays with 3 highlights:

  1. To understand the correct assembly of UAS components and the UAS air-frame for safe and accurate flying.
  2. To operate the UAS from the educational and technical aspects.
  3. To operate and monitor the UAS for an individual manoeuvre experience.

Day 1 lessons

  1. The published safety requirements of Civil Aviation Department.
  2. *Experience-sharing for the non-published safety requirements / essential steps for UAS for operation – site assessment, safety measures, segregated flying zone, situational awareness, etc. vetted by the Civil Aviation Department.
  3. *The “UAS Training Manual” vetted by the Civil Aviation Department.
  4. *The “Operation Manual” and “Flying Risk Assessment” vetted by the Civil Aviation Department.

Day 2 lessons

  1. *The requisite 8 areas of aeronautical knowledge for the safe use of UAS.
  2. *The emergency measures for the manoeurve of safe UAS flying and flying accidents.
  3. Introduction of the (international & localised) air laws in the public domains – criticisms on the extent of application to the UAS as a small aircraft.
  4. *The inter-action of air-space control, land law and property development law upon UAS flying on the ground with reference to a few charts and statutory plans.

Items marked with an asterick (*) are the professional aviation insider practice information of UAS commercial aircraft services vetted by the Civil Aviation Department and not veiled by the amateur aerial photographers and leisure flying practitioners.


Post-event activity

After the CPD seminar, we may have lunch at Chi Fu Fa Yuen.

Speaker highlight

Mr Wong Yung Shing MRICS - Mr Wong is the property litigation chartered surveyor, chartered building engineer, the Founder of UAS (Universal Aerodrone Service) Limited and DOLE UAS aviation education & training centre and the President of the Hong Kong UAS Flying Club Association Limited. He has practiced as the private jet investor and operated & managed the aviation commercial services & aviation legal compliance in Chengdu in 2011-2016.

He provided unique professional advice of UAS usage to the Hong Kong Police Force and the Civil Aviation Department.
