The Revenge of the Return of the FCCM Social Awakens

Hello everyone! After much discussion, chin-stroking, hair-pulling and coin-flipping, the Foreign Correspondents Club of Malaysia has decided to bring back it's legendary Socials from an age long gone.

Will they be monthly like before? Will they be quarterly? Will they disappear like a one-hit-wonder?

Who knows, but what's for certain is that Sid's @ Bukit Tunku has generously offered to host us. And yes, host is the regular FCCM euphemism for freebies. We won't tell you what they are, but let's just say that your feelings of FOMO are well justified.

Sid's is a well-known Irish pub for all who live in the Klang Valley, but the Bukit Tunku outlet has a nice neighbourhood vibe, ample parking and is just a (very aerodynamic) stone's throw away from the city centre. (This is also our way of saying, while we intend to enjoy ourselves, noise levels have to come down by midnight).

We know what you're thinking - "But the General Election is days away!"

Well, all the more reason for one last hurrah, for tomorrow, we dine in hell! Or at least, some corner of the country where there is a marginal seat that could swing over and point to who might be the next prime minister.

Now that we've got you thinking about our future prime minister, I'm sure you're ready to have a drink. It'll be a good occasion to introduce any reinforcements that your organisation is bringing into the country to the rest of the fraternity, or just get reacquainted with the faces who may be attending your candlelight vigil once you're thrown into jail for fake news.
