At The Mills Holiday Shopfloor – Gift and Workshop Market 2017, you will be able to find a selection of vendors that design unique products and a series of workshops that will help you customize your gifts to give it that personal touch. Beer Talks with Mr. Tomy Fong

“Craft Beer and Food Pairing with the ‘Tasting Trendies’”

Mr. Tomy Fong developed a deep appreciation in craft beer through his career in the restaurant industry for more than 10 years. Also being the lecturer of multiple beer tasting and appreciation courses, Mr. Tomy Fong is happy to share the knowledge of craft beer and food pairing and a few tricks of the trade in the beer market.

Apart from being the first Certified BJCP International Beer Judge from Hong Kong, Mr. Tomy Fong is also the author of the best-selling book走進手工啤酒世界 (Translation: Into The Craft Beer World). He would like to share the rationale of writing the book, and the enthusiasm towards craft beer. Tomy will also share the experience of being a beer judge all over the world, and tell you intriguing beer stories from his perspective. Either you are a beer lover, or a fan who would like to obtain Tomy’s autograph, all are welcomed to join this interesting seminar!

1) Back Strap Weaving Experimental Workshop

Breakthrough Art Studio aims to promote local woven technique in Hong Kong. It is where traditional culture meets functionality. All woven products are re-purposed to suit other needs. You can find them as camera straps, pet’s collars or as fashion accessories.

2) Glass Cutting and Matting Workshop

Time: 4:30-7:30pm
Fee: $480 per person

There are so many disposable products wasted in daily life, and glass bottles are among them. Have you ever wondered how to make them reusable? This workshop teaches you how to upgrade the glass by glass cutting and matting skills to repurpose your glass bottles!


3) Homebrew Honey Wine Workshop

Host: HK Brewcraft

In this workshop you will be able to learn beer brewing under the guidance of our professional brewers. You will be able to master the skills of home brewing using the tailor-made kit and enjoy honey beer that is unique to HK Brewcraft.

4) Old Hong Kong Copper Lamp Workshop

Host: Light with Shade

*1 pc 40 wattage edison bulb will be included

Light with Shade is a small business creating vintage and industrial lamps based in Hong Kong. Their products suit residential and commercial applications. In this workshop you will be able to create your own personalized lamps.

5) Coffee Ground Tie Dye Workshop

Host: Giants Tie Dye

Date: 26th November, 2017(Sun)
Time: 6-7pm
Fee: $150 per person
15 people per session

Founded in 2014 by Hong Kong and Taiwan's tie-dye technician, JOSH and SIU has swept across New Zealand, Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan with their unique tie-dye skills. In this workshop, you will learn how to tie-dye cloth with used coffee grounds.
