Event description
If 42 doesn't work for you as the answer to the question of 'life, the universe and everything', come along to the Meaning of Life workshop.

About this Event

What is the Meaning of Life Retreat?

This two-day residential retreat explores the question ‘What is the meaning of life?’ and how it has been answered by ancient and modern thinkers. Through a balance of input and practical activities, the workshop provides a gentle but thought-provoking introduction to practical philosophy, equipping participants with intellectual ammunition against periods where they may feel everything is pointless by helping them to grasp the various ways in which life might be lived meaningfully. Thinkers Academy does not promote one school of thought over others, but instead, offers a smorgasbord of answers from thinkers including Confucius, Aristotle, Epicurus, Epictetus, Seneca, Schopenhauer, Kierkegaard, Tolstoy, Nietzsche, Sartre, Camus and Frankl.

Who is the workshop right for?

The retreat is intended for anyone who would like to take the time and space away from it all to reflect with others on what’s important in life, as well as people who are curious to discover more about how Philosophy can be a companion and guide. No background in Philosophy is necessary.
