The Internet of Things (IoT) and its application in Building Automation Systems (BAS).

In the context of building engineering, the IoT is increasingly being used to optimize energy use, improve indoor air quality, enhance fire safety and security, and provide predictive maintenance capabilities for BAS. Smart sensors installed throughout a building can monitor various environmental conditions in real-time and transmit data to a centralized system for analysis and actionable insights. This data can then be used by the building management team to optimize HVAC systems, lighting, and other energy consumers based on occupancy patterns, weather conditions, and historical usage trends.

Overall, IoT technology is transforming fire detection by providing real-time data and analytics, improving response times, increasing situational awareness, and reducing false alarms, making buildings safer and more efficient. Demo included in this seminar.
