The FHK Bread Run - Aug 1, 2019

The Bread Run welcomes people of all ages. Every Tuesday and Thursday evening, volunteers collect surplus bread from bakeries at closing time and bring them to our collection points. The bread is then redistributed by Feeding Hong Kong to schools, shelters and charities.

HOW CAN I BECOME A BREAD RUNNER?　

• Select the stores that you can visit at closing time. We recommend teaming up with a friend and registering for a minimum of 3 stores.
• Click the Register button and enter your contact details.
• 1 day before the Bread Run we will email your collection tickets. These act as your volunteer ID and include the store address, telephone number and pick-up time.

ON THE BREAD RUN NIGHT　

• Call your stores 1 hour before closing time to confirm if they have surplus to donate. If not, give us a call to let us know.
• Arrive at each store at closing time. Bring your own carrier bags.
• Show your collection ticket to the store staff.
• Check the number of pieces donated and sign to confirm receipt. Take an official receipt if available.
• Pack the breads CAREFULLY into your own carrier bags.
• Bring the bread and receipt to an FHK drop-off point.
• If you are collecting food from Pret A Manger, 12Noon or Hawkr, YOU MUST arrive at the FHK Foodbank within 45 minutes of collection. Please use an insulated bag to keep the items cool.

FAQ

• Where is the drop off point?
  The FHK Foodbank at Unit 715-717, Block A2, Yau Tong Industrial City, 17-25 Ko Fai Road, Yau Tong.
• When will I receive my collection ticket?
  Tickets will be emailed 1 day before the Bread Run.
• What if I have a problem on the night?
  If you are running late, please call the store directly. Please call FHK on 2205 6568 if the item has sold out or you have a problem making your collection.
• What if the store informs me there is no bread to collect?
  All donations are subject to availability on the night. If there is no donation, please thank the store for their time and call on 2205 6568 to let us know.
• What is the arrangement under typhoons and rainstorms?
  Bread Run will be CANCELLED if No.8 Storm Signal (or above), Red Rainstorm Warning Signal or Black Rainstorm Warning Signal is hoisted or in force. Otherwise, it will continue as normal.

麵包收集活動歡迎各年齡人士參加。每逄星期二和星期四晚上，義工在麵包店關閉前收集剩餘的麵包，將麵包帶到我們的收集點。麵包將分發至學校，庇護所和慈善機構。

如何參加麵包收集活動？

• 選擇你能在店舖關門時間到訪的店舖。我們建議您可以與友人同行，一同登記最少三間店舖。
• 按「登記」，並輸入您的聯繫資料。
• 在活動前一天您將會透過電郵收到「麵包收集確認書」，這亦是您的義工證，上面將印有店舖地址，電話號碼及收集時間。

麵包收集活動當晚

• 在店舖關門前的一小時致電店舖，確認該晚有剩下的麵包能捐贈。若不，請致電樂餉社通知我們。
• 在關門時間抵達店舖，請帶上自己的購物袋！
• 請展示「麵包收集確認書」予店舖職員。
• 請檢查食物的數量後簽名作實，若有提供收條請一同領取。
• 請小心袋妥麵包。
• 將麵包和收條帶到樂餉社的收集點。
• 若果你選擇了到Pret A Manger, 12Noon or Hawkr收集食物，請務必在收集後的45分鐘內送到油塘的食物銀行。請帶備隔熱袋或冰袋一同前往。

常見問題

• 收集點在哪？
  答：樂餉社食物銀行：油塘高輝道17－25號，油塘工業城A2座，715－717室
• 我在何時會收到「麵包收集確認書」？
  答：「麵包收集確認書」會在麵包收集活動的前一天電郵予您。
• 我在當晚遇到問題該怎麼辦？
  答：如果您無法準時抵達店舖，請直接聯絡該店。如果所有食物已經出售或你遇到任何問題，請致電樂餉社熱線2205 6568。
• 如果店舖告知我沒有賣剩的麵包供我收集該怎麼辦？
  答：請留意每晚的捐贈都需根據當日的銷售情況而定。如果當天店舖沒有剩餘的麵包，請代我們向店舖致謝，然後致電2205 6568通知我們。
• 颱風及暴雨警告下會有甚麼安排？
  答：如八號或以上的暴風信號或紅色暴雨警告信號或黑色暴雨警告信號懸掛時，活動將會取消。除了以上情況，活動將一切如常。
