We discuss sustainable & conscious innovations in the F&B industry and how some of Hong Kong’s biggest F&B influencers are leading the way with their restaurants and businesses to become more conscious & responsible.


We all know the importance of what we put into our bodies, with the “paddock to plate” trend has evolved into an industry norm over the past few years, we discuss the movement of mindset for hospitality companies and consumers as well as the changes to the current food climate in Hong Kong.


This is a ticketed event with a seated capacity of 60 people.

About the Panelists:

Shizuka Scott:

As Maximal Concepts’ DNA Director, Shiz devotes herself to her biggest passions – F&B and the Arts. Not only does she lead a project management team that constructs the group’s concepts from start to finish, she also ensures that every detail of each Maximal venue – from decor, music, to marketing programme – encapsulates the brand’s DNA. As a New Zealand native, Shiz is no stranger to the natural wonders of Mother Earth and enjoys spending most of her spare time in the outdoors (especially surfing). Her love for nature is what inspired her to spearhead Maximal Concepts’ eco-friendly initiatives six years ago. Today, Shiz continues to uphold these values by putting sustainability at the forefront of all existing and future concepts.


Larry Tang:

For over a decade, Larry Tang has pioneered innovative F&B projects from events and concerts, to nightlife and dining ventures. His organic restaurant concepts - Locofama, Sohofama and Supafood - have paved the way for a Sustainable Lifestyle of Organic Wellness (SLOW) movement, delivering a unique “Barefoot Luxury" experience to a growing audience of health-conscious Hong Kongers.

Larry also runs Restart, a consulting firm, in Singapore, to which he brings over 15 years of advertising industry experience. Prior to founding his own agency, Larry was the Managing Director for Publicis Groupe's Digitas and Razorfish, the world's two largest digital marketing agency networks.


Ifat Kafry Hindes:

What started as a personal quest, expanded into her life mission – to create nutritious and delicious meals for all ages. In 2013, Ifat opened Hong Kong’s first entirely gluten free restaurant and bakery, Choice Cooperative and shortly after the well trusted Choice Healthy Foods who remain the leading provider of Gluten Free Breads and Pastries in Hong Kong. In 2016, she started Project Wellness, offering the learning of health through wellness cooking classes, walks, healthy home makeovers, as well as acting as a wellness and health advisor to celebrity chefs, restaurants and corporates.
