Join plant-based cook, creative director and cookbook author Christine Wong at PMQ Taste Library for an afternoon of design and food.

Christine will share about the making-of her award-nominated cookbook “The Vibrant Hong Kong Table”, which reimagines 88 iconic local dishes with a unique vegetable-focused twist. From curating the recipes to the different stages of book production, explore how graphic design, food styling and photography can make an impact. You will also get to enjoy colourful vegan bites from the cookbook and test out creative food photography skills.

Lastly, get an autographed, personalised copy of “The Vibrant Hong Kong Table” at the event so you can create these stylish and delicious dishes back home.

About Christine Wong :

Christine Wong is a designer, author, plant-based cook, and advocate for eco-friendly choices who blends cultural representation with culinary expertise. Nominated for a James Beard Award and listed as one of the best new vegan cookbooks of 2024 by VegNews and Tasting Table, Christine's book The Vibrant Hong Kong Table reimagines 88 iconic dishes, preserving the rich cultural tapestry of Hong Kong with a vegetable-focused twist. Previous works include “Living Without Plastic” (Nov 2020) co-authored with Plastic Oceans International, and “The Plantiful Plate” (Feb 2019) showcasing versatile, plant-forward recipes.
