Service industry is one of the key business pillars in Hong Kong. With concerted efforts of industry leaders in quality services, Hong Kong Association for Customer Service Excellence (“The Association” or “HKACE”) organises “Service Appreciation Day” on the Thanksgiving Day every year to promote the culture of service appreciation. This year marks the 5th Anniversary with a vivid theme of “Excel Beyond Limits – Start with Service Appreciation”. An exclusive “Service Appreciation Day 2017” Kick-off Ceremony and “Your Favourite Frontline Staff” Short Article Campaign Award Presentation will be held by HKACE at 12:00nn to 1:00pm on 23 November (Thursday) in Lok Fu Place.

 

Mr Algernon Yau, Chairman of HKACE will be officiating at the Kick-off Ceremony of the Service Appreciation Day 2017. Ms Mayanne Mak, a renowned celebrity, has been appointed as the Service Ambassador to advocate service appreciation to the community. With a brand new refreshing style, her role-play mini drama on stage and chitchat session will be inspired by the message of “Outstanding Performance based on Quality; Service Excellence followed by Service Appreciation”.

 

Following the Kick-off Ceremony, HKACE will organise a “Service Appreciation” mini game in the venue to share fun with the public. Apart from the activities in Lok Fu Place, String Trio Music Performance Flashmob Roadshows will be specially arranged in the service landmarks of Causeway Bay and Tsim Sha Tsui to tie in the event. The public, especially music lovers, will definitely enjoy some relaxing and elegant moments from the beautiful melody of cello, viola and violin. At the same time, interested passers-by may participate in the roadshow mini game “11.23 Service Appreciation! You can make it!” to put service appreciation into action, together with getting a chance to win a souvenir. The public is welcome to participate in all mini games.


To achieve greater attention on “Service Appreciation Day 2017” as well as recognising outstanding frontline staff, HKACE has launched “Your Favourite Frontline Staff” Short Article Campaign on its Facebook page where participants have shared their experiences of having enjoyed good services with their favourite frontline staff. From now till 5:00pm on 8 November, every one may go to “LIKE” his or her favourite story online. Public voting (“LIKE”) will take up 50% of the results while the remaining 50% will be coming from the organiser. The top 5 will be awarded attractive prizes and will be invited to attend the award presentation on 23 November.

 

The Hong Kong Association for Customer Service Excellence has been founded by various customer service leading corporations. HKACE is committed to promoting customer service excellence, continuous improvement and encouraging innovation in Hong Kong through a wide spectrum of regular activities including seminars, workshops, experience sharing sessions, Service Appreciation Day and Customer Service Excellence Award.

  1. 1.    Facebook “Your Favourite Frontline Staff” Short Article Campaign

The voting period has begun. From now till 5:00pm on 8 November, every one may go to “LIKE” his or her favourite story on the voting album of HKACE Facebook page. Public voting (“LIKE”) will take up 50% of the results while the remaining 50% will be coming from the organiser.  The top 5 will be awarded attractive prizes and will be invited to attend the award presentation on “Service Appreciation Day 2017” on 23 November.

2. “Service Appreciation Day 2017” Kick-off Ceremony | 23 November(Thursday) 12:00nn – 1:00pm | UG2 Zone B, Lok Fu Place, 198 Junction Road, Wang Tau Hom, Kowloon

 

HKACE chooses the Thanksgiving Day every year to recognise outstanding frontline staff with raising public awareness to service appreciation culture.

 

Mr Algernon Yau, Chairman of HKACE, together with other officiating guests, will be attending and officiating at the Kick-off Ceremony. Ms Mayanne Mak, a renowned celebrity, has been appointed as the Service Ambassador to advocate service appreciation to the community. She will perform her role-play mini drama on stage and chitchat session in a brand new refreshing style.

 

Following the ceremony, HKACE will organise a “Service Appreciation” mini game on the same spot to share fun with the public. Participants may take part into the game by liking HKACE Facebook page and to read out words of appreciation for frontline staff.  Participants who can throw bean bags hitting on three HKACE logos can each receive a souvenir. The public is welcome to participate in this game.

 

3.String Trio Music Performance Flashmob Roadshows|23 November(Thursday)

1:00pm – 3:30pm Hai Phong Road, Tsim Sha Tsui (near Canton Road)

4:30pm – 7:00pm Great George Street, Causeway Bay

 

HKACE aims to offer the public, especially music lovers, via the String Trio Music Performance Flashmob Roadshows, to enjoy some relaxing and elegant moments from the beautiful melody of cello, viola and violin. At the same time, interested public may participate in the roadshow mini game “11.23 Service Appreciation! You can make it!” to share fun and to put service appreciation into action, together with getting a chance for a souvenir. Participants can be entitled joining the mini game by liking HKACE Facebook page and share the page with a hashtag #HKACE. Participants can simply select one game card and read the sentence on it to appreciate frontline staff while gaining chances to play the game. Participants who can successfully stop the timer at 00:11:23 (minute: second: mini-second) on tablet could win a souvenir. The public is most welcome to participate in this mini roadshow game.
