About this event

Inspired by Joyce Jenkins’ beautiful quilting and patchwork, previously displayed in The Maker, and in celebration of the opening of Weaving Unearthed, a stunning exhibition by Sue Hiley Harris, we’re inviting textile enthusiasts of all abilities to join us every Friday to create, connect, and be inspired!

Bring along a project you’ve been working on or something you’ve put to one side - come create and chat over a cup of tea!

These sessions are free and are open to all.


Textile Fridays:

11am - 4pm: Drop-in activity, stay for as little or as long as you’d like.

Please be aware that children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

Access is by one-step entry from pavement level through our main entrance.

Wedi’n hysbrydoli gan waith cwiltio Joyce Jenkins, a gafodd ei arddangos yn Y Gwneuthurwr, ac i ddathlu agoriad Dadorchuddio Gwehyddu, arddangosfa anhygoel gan Sue Hiley Harris, rydym yn gwahodd pob un sy’n dwlu ar decstilau, o bob gallu, i ymuno â ni bob Dydd Gwener i greu, cysylltu, ac ysbrydoli ein gilydd!

Dewch â phrosiect rydych chi wedi bod yn gweithio arno gyda chi, neu rywbeth rydych chi wedi'i roi o'r neilltu - dewch i greu a sgwrsio dros baned!

Mission Gallery provides the local and wider community with opportunities to develop their understanding and knowledge of art. Mission Gallery offers a collective experience in which visitors can immerse themselves in; exhibitions that take risks and push the boundaries of visual art; the opportunity to purchase cutting edge design and contemporary craft and engage in friendly conversation with art led individuals. Mission Gallery seamlessly provides raw creative energy, an exceptional place to shop for every price range, and a commitment to learning, ensuring every age group is welcome.  

 

Mission Gallery is housed in a Grade II listed building and began its existence in 1977 as a voluntary artist run – artist led body. It developed into a professional organisation although remained voluntary until constituted as a Not for Profit Company Limited by Guarantee, in 2008. Governed by a voluntary board of directors, the management, programming and running is maintained by art-led staff and a dedicated team of volunteers.
