This practical workshop will guide you through the art of adapting your existing materials into captivating drama activities that promise not only to engage but to inspire and motivate your students, and more importantly, show how drama strategies can develop soft skills.
For the best experience, attendees should have:
- a computer or ipad style device (a phone will also work)
- stable internet access
- a headset with microphone

Trainer: Alexandra Rubenstein
Alex is a versatile educator with a rich background in teaching, theatre, and cultural studies. Since 2021, she has been a teacher trainer for Trinity College London's Certificate in TESOL programme with English for Asia. Her expertise is built on over a decade of experience teaching English to diverse age groups and proficiency levels, as well as managing language centres in Mainland China.
Born and raised in Toronto, Alex's passion for creativity and cultural exploration led her to York University, where she majored in Anthropology with a minor in Theatre Studies. Her theatrical training encompasses acting, voice and speech, and physical theatre. Alex's performance skills were further honed through improvisation training at The Second City, and she has a history of lead roles in secondary school productions.
Alex's unique blend of theatrical background, cultural studies, and extensive teaching experience allows her to bring a creative, holistic approach to language education and teacher training.
