創意並非只屬於藝術家——它是我們生活、思考，並與世界連結的一部分。「開放工作室」的系列活動邀請參加者挖掘自己的創意潛能，透過探索川龍的智慧、聲音與故事，發現這片土地的獨特魅力。通過親身參與和深度交流，我們將一同揭示創意如何深植於日常生活之中，無論是有意識的還是潛移默化的。

在這場充滿啟發的對談中，Sunny Wong 與本地村民兼藝術家 Tristan Chan 將分享他們圍繞川龍的創作經歷。Sunny 通過觀察日常生活尋找靈感，而 Tristan 則從個人記憶和村莊故事中汲取創作元素。元朗村落「 放養式」 的童年，開啟了一個人在街道漫遊和觀察的習慣。而川龍木廠的「頭尾料」，日後則成為另一人雕塑創作的養分。他們的對話將揭示創意如何成為連結土地、生活與人心的力量。

我們於去年正式啟用後展開了「川龍地方誌研究計劃」，邀請來自不同領域的單位與藝術家，分階段在川龍進行田野考察與口述歷史，並結合多元的歷史材料，致力建立一個關於川龍的視覺檔案。研究範疇涵蓋日常生活、民間智慧、地景人類學、文化風俗、自然生態及民族植物學。

黃永生呈獻作品：《川龍物博》

Sunny Wong 將展示以「考現學」視角製作的路上觀察地圖，深入探索民間智慧，正如今和次郎在其著作《考現學》中所述，考現學「作為一種方法論，它的對象是現在我們眼前所見之『物』，它的終極關懷是人類的當下狀態」 1。故此次考察也從物件出發，記錄被村民升級再造的日用品、自製的農務工具、舊時代工業生產的遺物以及民間修築物等。

他跟村民學習怎樣掃地、如何跟神明「打關係」、用什麼東西摘菜… …因這些看似「隨心」的日常背後，或許沒有嚴緊推理與常規，卻以某種下意識形式，如實反映我們看待生活的態度、在怎樣的時代脈絡下過活，娓娓道出一個個川龍人的故事。

關於藝術家

黃永生1990年生於中國廣東, 四歲隨父移居香港。中學開始正式接觸攝影，2012年入讀中文大學藝術系跟蘇慶強教授學沖菲林。其創作關注當代社會的組成和潛規則，以至個人於其中的存活狀態。他喜歡用鏡頭收集事物，比如新聞主播每日的表情。又曾搬了一棵被颳風山竹吹倒的樹回家，拍攝記錄樹上每片樹葉。作品曾於香港、台灣、中國和德國等地展出。2015年，黃成立太陽事務創意工作室，致力協助學校，社區機構和團體推動不同形式的藝術教育和推廣項目。他相信人人都可以通過動手創造，找到自己獨有的說話方式，並從中了解自我與世界。

Creativity does not belong solely to artists—it is a part of how we live, think, and connect with the world. The "Open Studio" series of events invites participants to tap into their own creative potential by exploring the wisdom, sounds, and stories of the land, discovering its unique charm. Through hands-on participation and in-depth interactions, we will together reveal how creativity is deeply embedded in our daily lives, whether consciously or subconsciously.

In this inspiring conversation, artist Sunny Wong and local villager-artist Tristan Chan share their creative journeys centered around Chuen Lung. Sunny finds inspiration in observing daily life, while Tristan draws from personal memories and village stories. Together, they’ll reveal how creativity acts as a powerful force to connect people, places, and moments of life.

A "free-range" childhood in the villages of Yuen Long fostered the habit of wandering and observing the streets for one, while leftover wood pieces from the Chuen Lung timber mill later became the foundation for the other’s sculptural creations. Their dialogue will reveal how creativity serves as a powerful force connecting land, life, and the human spirit.

“Chuen Lung Visual Research Archive” Open Studio

After officially launching last year, we initiated the "Chuen Lung Visual Research Archive," inviting various organizations and artists from different fields to conduct field studies and oral histories in Chuen Lung in staged phases. By combining diverse historical materials, we aim to establish a visual archive about Chuen Lung. The research scope covers daily life, folk wisdom, landscape anthropology, cultural customs, natural ecology, and ethnobotany.

Sunny Wong Presents: "Chuen Lung: the Pulse of Objects"

Sunny Wong will showcase a fieldwork map created through the lens of "Modernology," delving deeply into the folk wisdom of Chuen Lung. As Kon Wajiro described in his works, Modernology, "as a methodology, focuses on the 'objects' visible before our eyes today, with its ultimate concern being the present state of humanity."

This exploration highlights key aspects, such as villagers' upgrades to everyday items, self-made farming tools, objects from past industrial production, and vernacular architecture. By apprenticing with villagers - the exact wrist twist for efficient sweeping, the unspoken rules for bargaining with local gods, even the best tools for picking veggies - Sunny uncovers how these instinctive practices, though lacking systematic rationale, mirror subconscious approaches to living within specific socio-temporal frameworks.

Through these items, Sunny narrates stories of "observations along the roads of Chuen Lung," revealing a rich tapestry of culture, history, and ingenuity.

About Artist

SUNNY WONG Born in Guangdong, China in 1990, Wong Wing Sang relocated to Hong Kong at age four. Formally introduced to photography in secondary school, he enrolled at the Fine Arts Department of the Chinese University of Hong Kong in 2012, studying film development techniques under Professor So Hing Kueng. His practice interrogates the architectures of contemporary society—its hidden codes and the existential navigation of individuals within these systems. Through lens-based documentation—from the micro-expressions of news anchors to a typhoon-felled tree’s decaying foliage—he constructs visceral archives of transient phenomena. His works have been exhibited internationally in Hong Kong, Taiwan, Germany, and mainland China. In 2015, he founded Sun Office, an interdisciplinary studio collaborating with schools and communities to democratize art education. He champions creative practice as a means of self-discovery and unique linguistic expression for all.
