Russian Sound Music Academy announces its summer music camp for children ages 4-5, 6-8 and 9-11 running simultaneously in 3 groups. This camp runs 5 days a week from 9.30am-12.30pm and concludes with a final Sunday afternoon performance for those available and wishing to participate. Each week consists of a series of intensive music workshops covering multiple topics and a variety of activities that boost creativity and social skills. You may enroll in either one week or both consecutive weeks at a discounted rate. Group registrations also receive a discounted rate.

Every week offers the following activities:

-Ensemble musicianship (for kids of all musical backgrounds, including children who do not play any music instruments)

- Choral singing

- Fun music theory (including learning music patterns through free body movement and emotional expression)

- Philharmonic for children (series of short live performances prepared by our faculty and guests followed by discussion and performing experiments)

- Cinema club (watching and discussing cartoons and short documentaries dedicated to one or the other musical topics)

- Musical Theatre (learning excerpts from popular musicals including basics of acting and dancing)

- Composition (learning some interesting composition techniques and creating a group project - a brand new music piece to be performed on the final concert)

The final step of our creative music camp is the Sunady afternoon performance where children can demonstrate their new skills to their family members and receive a certificate of completion.

The camp will be hosted by Russian Sound Music Academy faculty members. All workshops will be conducted in our comfortable and spacious office in Sheung Wan/Central with multiple classrooms and rest areas to make your time comfortable and memorable. Classes will be conducted primarily in English with the possibility of running sessions in Russian language upon special request and group registration.
