Hong Kong potentially can be the Blockchain and Cryptocurrency hub for China and Asia. We stand at the tip of a changing landscape. But does Hong Kong hold the key?

Few are aware that the Achilles’ heel to this technology lies in our mastery of cryptography that we do not own, posses, or even dare to talk about. The advantage of Blockchain and Crypotocurrency technology can be fully exploited through the proper use of cryptography and robust design in software architecture and network topology. Unlike Israel, Finland, Estonia, Russia, China, or the United States, Hong Kong may not have the resource or the capacity to promote and embrace applications using Blockchain and Cryptocurrency. Taking granted with what we have been given or allowed to play with, how Smart is in fact our city in dealing with ICOs, cyypotocurrencies, and the likes since cryptography, connectivity and the ability to be truly connected is outside our control? Or does it really matter?

In this half-day sharing by experts, we shall explore what we can do, our roles as smart citizens, given the state of play. Can we truly be a hub for trading of cryptocurrencies?
