Event description

Description

"The forest is the therapist. The guide opens the door."

Shinrin Yoku, or Forest Bathing Guided Walks take participants slowly and intentionally through Nature. Your Guide gives a series of invitations that bring connection to your senses, yourself, and to others. Through these invitations, you gain a deeper appreciation of the many living and non-living things through moving slowly, and mindfully through the trails.

Why Forest Therapy?
The fast paced lifestyles that we are accustomed to in Hong Kong, can cause a great deal of stress, physically and emotionally. Most of the time we may not even be aware of the pressure our body and mind are under as a result of living in a city that is so dynamic, competitive and exciting.
Luckily, Hong Kong also offers incredible examples of natural beauty. Forest Therapy Walks allow for us to retune our bodies to nature's clock, where we can give our brains a break, and take the opportunity to connect with what is truly important to us.

What do you get out of it?
Lowers Blood pressure
Lowers Cortisol (stress hormone)
Boost immune system functioning
Increased concentration/focus
Emotional clarity
Improved mood
Regulates sleep patterns
