Piruze Sabuncu , Partner at Square Peg Capital
Piruze joined Square Peg in 2020 and was previously the Head of Southeast Asia and Hong Kong at Stripe. Prior to Stripe, Piruze ran a health-tech startup and was an Engagement Manager at McKinsey & Co. advising leading technology and telecoms companies across Southeast Asia, Turkey and the US. Earlier in her career, she worked in Operations & Marketing at Dell. Piruze holds an MBA from Harvard Business School, and BBA from Middle East Technical University in Ankara.
Sherene Ban, managing director, is Chief Executive Officer for Singapore and South East Asia for J.P. Morgan Asset Management.
In this role, Sherene is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the firm's asset management business in the region. Previously, she held a number of roles in the firm such as heading the Investment Specialist team for Beta Strategies Group and co-heading the Investment Specialist team for the Emerging Markets and Asia Pacific Equities Group.
Sherene is a trustee director of the JPMorgan U.K. Retirement Plan and sits on the Investment Committee. In addition, Sherene is on the board of JPMorgan Asset Management (Europe) S.à r.l. and is on the Executive Committee of the Investment Management Association of Singapore (IMAS).
Prior to joining the Firm in 2005, Sherene worked as a portfolio manager for Asia Pacific Equities at the Government of Singapore Investment Corporation (GIC). She then transferred to London with the GIC to become a portfolio manager for European Equities. Sherene obtained a B.Sc in Bioengineering from the University of California, Berkeley and an M.Sc in Financial Engineering from Princeton University. She is a CFA Charterholder.
Eleanor K. Thorp, Vice President of Human Resources, CMC Materials
Eleanor has been with CMC Materials since 2018. Before joining CMC Materials, Eleanor has had years of experience in leading Human Resources teams and recruiting across industries in leading companies, such as Cabot Microelectronics, Sephora Digital SEA, and Frontier Strategy Group. She’s lived in both London and New York, and she graduated from the University of Cambridge, England with a B.A. in Social and Political Science

After graduating in Computer Science from Universite Libre de Bruxelles in Belgium, she worked for Cisco Systems for 3 years before shifting her career to Louis Vuitton & emerging markets.
In the last 17 years, she has worked across Europe, Middle East, India, SEA and Australia in Retail & Private Equity before joining Luxola.com as Head of Strategy. Luxola was acquired by Sephora where Nandini then helped build the leading omnichannel player in beauty in SEA-Pacific.
Nandini is a Licensed Representative with the Monetary Authority of Singapore for Asia Wealth Platform, the legal entity of StashAway.
