Entry Requirement

- Sports for all, anyone is welcome to enter (See Rules below) All Hong Kong based riders must be HKWSA members in order to join the competition.

Application: Will start at 20 April 2018 2:00pm



- First come-first served basis will be used to fill up to FIVE riders in each category; all remaining applications will go through a random draw to determine the final rider lists.

The Organizer reserves the right to close entries before the deadline without prior notice


Registration & Fees

If the event is cancelled prior to the start of competition, due to bad weather or other circumstances, entry fees will be refunded to the enrolled riders through the online payment system.

Applications from participants with outstanding payments for past events will not be accepted unless he/she provides payment evidence or settles the outstanding payment.

Please note that we will ONLY accept enrolments online. Enrolments sent by smartphone communication applications such as Whatsapp, Line, Tango etc will be automatically disregarded. We only accept Visa/ Master card for the online payment.

Please make a record on your online payment for future reference.

Waterski & Wakeboard competition

(Time may be adjusted at Organiser’s discretion depending on time and participant numbers.)

All participants must attend the judging briefing at 9 am (for Waterski) and 11am (for Wakeboard), otherwise they may not be allowed to ride


Water ski’s Rules

IWWF Asia Tournament Rules will apply or otherwise as directed by the event tournament director

Men, Women and Juniors will ski on full slalom course. Novices will use either a mini course or crossing the wake, to be determined based on entries

Trick Restrictions

Women’s & Men’s Grabs and 180s

Any kind of wake-to-wake air Grabs tricks and any 180 degree rotation tricks (with or without Grabs) are allowed within the 2 competition passes.

The best Grab trick and the best 180 trick of each rider will be scored based on the rider's Execution, Intensity & Style. Unlike normal competition, Composition will not be counted this time.

Junior Novice (Girls & Boys)

* The Organizer reserves the right to accept or reject any entries and have the authority to amend any judging criteria as deemed necessary.

Format & Scoring

Each rider shall be allowed two passes through the wakeboard course during which time he/she may perform any routine he/she chooses. They will be judged on subjective style categories, to arrive at a single combined score.

Judges will award a maximum of 100 points to each rider based on their overall impressions of the routine performed. Riders found to be under the influence of alcohol or narcotics may be disqualified.

The judges will score each rider in each of the following categories:

Execution - 33.3 Points; Intensity - 33.4 Points; style - 33.3 Points

The top 3 riders of each category will be Prized.

5. Junior Novice (Girls & Boys)

Lunch Arrangement

There is nothing available at Chong Hing Water Sports Centre, apart from vending machine for drinks. Please bring your own.



How to get there?

Getting to Sai Kung Pak Tam Chung Country Park

1) To Sai Kung Bus Terminus
By Bus 92 from Diamond Hill/Choi Hung MTR station;
By Bus 299 from Shatin Central ,
By Bus 792M from Tiu Keng Leng MTR Station;
By Mini-bus 1A from Choi Hung MTR Station near Ngau Chi Wan Fire Station;
By Bus 96R from Diamond Hill MTR via Sai Kung Bus Terminus (stay on until Pak Tam Chung)

2) To Pak Tam Chung
By Bus from Sai Kung Bus Terminus to Pak Tam Chung – Bus #94 (or #96R on Sunday)
By Car – From Ma On Shan – head for Sai Kung until you reach the roundabout with directions to Pak Tam Chung; From Sai Kung – head for Ma On Shan until you reach the roundabout and follow road signs to Pak Tam Chung. Take the road to Pak Tam Chung until you reach the barrier of Sai Kung Park. Park your car in the car park on the left.

Getting to the ski site from the Park’s entrance

A specially arranged shuttle bus will depart from the lay-by area on the right, immediately inside the Park barrier. No charge will be levied for use of the bus. No permits will be issued for cars to drive into the Park. Please be warned that in past years, the Police have ticketed drivers who enter the Park illegally.

Note

Before the competition:

- All entries to be confirmed upon receipt of payment of entry and membership fee.

- Entry fee is non-refundable once application is accepted, except in the event of cancellation.

- All judges’ decisions are final.

- Event categories and schedules may be adjusted at the Organiser’s discretion depending on weather, time and participant numbers.

- All riders must attend the judging briefing; otherwise they may not be allowed to ride.

- By participating in the event Riders agree that the HKWSA may publish their name and image(s) in any material including official results and rankings and press releases without restraint.

During the competition & at the competition venue:

- No one is allowed to climb over the fence.

- No smoking, alcohol or dogs/cats (pets) are allowed at the LCSD venue. Violation of the above will result in disqualification from the competition immediately and riders (both individual and team) will not be eligible to receive awards.

- Please pay attention and read thoroughly the Hong Kong Regulations Chapter 132 BC PLEASURE GROUNDS REGULATION beforehand.

In case of bad weather, please refer to the following tables for various arrangements for different types of weather condition. The fall back dates for rearrangement will be after one week.
