About SAA Academy

South Asian Arts Academy is a non-profit with a mission to bring the traditional music and fine arts of South Asia to a wider audience within a contemporary technological and social context. In Hong Kong, our aim has been to promote awareness of South Asian fine arts among youth. Since 2015, our team has successfully produced and presented three cross-cultural concerts featuring leading Hong Kong jazz musicians such as Eugene Pao, the City Chamber Orchestra of Hong Kong and vocalists from Hong Kong and India. We also host the only festival in the world dedicated to women in South Asian arts, two editions of which were presented in collaboration with Asia Society Hong Kong Center. We regularly conduct traditional South Asian music and dance workshops for universities and educational institutions in Hong Kong, including Hong Kong Baptist University and the Chinese University of Hong Kong. Our Board consists of professionals and artists from diverse backgrounds, such as music, dance, design, entrepreneurship, finance and academia.
