Due to COVID-19 pandemic, this training is now postponed to 18 September and 16 October.


Date: 16 July & 11 August 2020 18 September & 16 October
Time: 2:00pm to 6:00pm
Venue: Room 3707, Hopewell Centre, 183 Queen’s Road East, Wanchai, Hong Kong
CPD hour: 8 formal hours
Language: English (Supplementary with Cantonese)

Course fee: $4,500



The value of a RICS qualification has never been greater - from wider industry recognition and enhanced career opportunities to access to the latest profession insights, guidance and technologies.

If you have 10 years of relevant experience (5 years if you have a postgraduate degree) and can demonstrate advanced responsibilties as a senior leader, you can become qualified as a MRICS via Senior Professional Assessment (SPA).

This workshop will provide you with advices on how to pick a case study for your written assessment, and also tips on encountering assessors’ questions while you attend the Final Assessment Interview. The guest speaker will share his experience on how to become chartered via SPA.

After attending this 2 modules training, your written submission will be reviewed by the trainer and the trainer will provide you with appropriate feedbacks.

Gary is currently a RICS Licensed Assessor Trainer. Before his retirement, he was the General Manager – Property Management for Shui On Properties Management Ltd.


Gary worked in real estate service for more than 35 years in areas of property management, maintenance building survey and project management in various organizations.


He served the Councils of Hong Kong Institute of Surveyors (HKIS), Surveyors Registration Board (SRB), Hong Kong Institute of Facility Management (HKIFM) and Hong Kong Association of Property Management Companies (HKAPMC) for some years and currently holding the position as Vice President of HKAPMC, Vice President of HKIFM, Honorary Treasurer of SRB (2012-2015), Honorary Treasurer of HKIS (2011-2013) and Past Chairman (2009-2011) of HKIS PFMD

Mr John Lau MRICS 

John is a Chartered Project Management Surveyor, with nearly 20 years of local and overseas experience in construction industry. He has held senior roles in both consultancy and client capacities, with extensive project management experience for a range of small to large scale of civil engineering infrastructure projects, public and building projects. Recently, he has joined a statutory organisation overseeing construction of a new major hospital in HK.

  • No refund or cancellation will be accepted, but a substitute delegate is normally permitted. Please inform the organiser of your substitute delegate at least 5 days before the training.
  • If a typhoon signal no. 8 or above, or black rainstorm warning is in force at least 3 hours before the programme is scheduled to begin, the training will be postponed until further notice. Otherwise, it will continue as scheduled.
  • Registration will only be confirmed upon receipt of completed registration form and full payment.
  • Upon completion of this event, a CPD certificate will be granted. A payment receipt along with the CPD certificate will be sent to you by email with 10 business days after the training.
