New Year Resolution Workshop with Mindfulness Meditation & Yoga

2021 has been a year of inconveniences, adaptation, and growth. While most of us have been busy taking care of everyday event, that doesn’t leave us much room to reflect the fact that we have grown and matured more than we think.

We will be using the wisdom of the Buddha to appreciate our effort, to forgive our unskillful act, and to refocus on what’s important in our life, so that 2022 will become a wonderful year, no matter how the external conditions turn out to be.

This event will be taught in English, with Japanese translations, anyone with yoga experience is welcome.

General run down of the event:

10:30-10:45 Opening

10:45-11:30 Yin Yang Yoga Asana

11:30-12:00 Seated Meditation

12:00-13:15 Lecture & Q&A

You'll receive a Zoom link to join 1hr prior to the event starts. You'll also receive a recording of the session 3-4 hours after the event ends. You'll have access to the recording for the next 6 days.

Payment Option: Bank-transfer is available via Hong Kong banks.

About Janet

Dedicated to integrating yoga, life wisdom and mindfulness practices, Janet has been teaching since 2006. She has presented at TEDx and is a published author, releasing her first book in Chinese, “Living with Yoga and Mindfulness” in 2014 and the second book in Chinese “The Darkness and Light of Life” in 2017. She holds a master degree in Buddhist studies and combines ancient yoga philosophy, Buddhism, and spirituality into her teaching. As an experienced registered yoga teacher and a mindfulness teacher, she cultivates an understanding of emotional balance, anatomy as well as yin yang vinyasa yoga techniques. 2021年は、不便さ、適応、そして成長の年でした。 でも、私たちの多くは日々のあれこれに追われていて、自分が思っている以上に自分が成長し、精神的に成熟したことを振り返る余裕なく過ごしてきたかもしれません。

そこでこのワークショップでは、ブッダの知恵を借りて、自分自身のがんばりを讃え、未熟な行為を許し、人生で大切なことに焦点を当て直します。外界の状況がどのようになろうとも、2022年が飛躍の年になるように、あなたらしい新年の目標を立てませんか？

ワークショップは英語で行われ、日本語の通訳がつきます。ヨガの経験がある方ならどなたでもご参加いただけます。

対象者：All Level メディテーション、ヨガともにビギナーからインストラクターまでどなたでもご参加いただけます。

言語：英語で行われ、水野香織さんの日本語通訳がつきます。

オンライン講座：ZOOMを使って行われます。ご参加リンクは開催約1時間前にお届けします。録画リンクは終了後、3-4時間でお届けします（１週間視聴可能）

講師のご紹介：ジャネット・ラウ（E-RYT500)

カナダ国籍、香港在住 ヨガ・マインドフルネス講師(E-RYT500)。香港大学修士課程「仏教カウンセリング」にて客員講師を務めるほかMBCT(マインドフルネス認知療法)基礎コースの客員講師として教鞭を執る。ポール グリリーのアシスタント、禅僧ティック ナット ハンのリトリートでヨガ講師を務めるなど豊富な経験を持ちメディアに出演多数するなど多忙を極めていた時期に、香港大学において仏教学の修士号課程を修了し、2018年より同大学の修士課程「仏教カウンセリング」にて客員講師を務める。著書『ヨガとマインドフルネスのある暮らし』『人生の光と陰』(邦題仮)がある。香港がん基金、マギーズキャンサーケアリングセンター、I’mperfect、NLPRAなどのNGO/NPO団体を通して、コミュニティーに調和と癒しを届ける活動に積極的に協力している。ジャネット・ラウ 公式日本語 http://www.janet-lau.com/jp
